ABOUT: Vanson Leathers (est.1974)
Vanson Leathers started in the south end of Boston, MA in 1974 by Mike van der Sleesen and James Goodson. Vanson broke into the motorcycle racing circuit in the late 70’s, outfitting national champion riders and with club racing and motorbike interest on the rise - the company saw steady growth and presence on the race tracks throught the 80’s and 90’s. Mike van der Sleesen was committed to manufacturing domestically and continued to build the company with that priority in mind, calling Fall River home for over the last three decades. Vanson embraces the low volume approach, committing to the philosophy of No Compromises through the process of building product they create. With over 50 years in the books, the company has become known for delivering “heirloom quality” leather garments you can pass on to future generations.
